Attention – all storm damage victims: Many stories are going around about what happens to individuals after a storm has damaged their property. Hurricane Sandy hit our town with water levels rising 8-12 feet. Our house was waterfront. The water entered our home, damaging the foundation, walls, floors, furniture, and appliances. The winds damaged the roof, siding, soffit, and fascia. The wind adjuster came, walked around the house, and said there was no damage. A second adjuster came out two months later and climbed all over the house and said there was no damage. We had heard about Atlantic Group USA from my Brother who lived in Raleigh, NC. He and his dear wife had known one of the principles for the past 15 years. When Atlantic Group USA inspected the property, they showed us documented evidence of all the additional damage that the insurance company said was not relative to the storm. The flood adjuster came out about one month after the storm walked thru the house and gave us a check for $10,000 and said they would get back. Keep in mind the house has shifted, and the floors, walls, and ceilings are cracked and twisted. The back of the house is sinking, and the exterior siding is bowed and buckled. There were hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage. Although Atlantic Group USA was already contracted with 280 homes that were heavily damaged, their people had been working 18 hours per day, 7 days a week, for the past 7 weeks, when we called them and drove 4 hours to get here. Atlantic Group USA negotiated our settlement, and we have received cash and additional funding that started at $10,000 and is now over $500,000.00, and they have more funds committed for us. The insurance company wanted us to patch our house back together, and Atlantic Group negotiated a deal for us where:

I'm not the best at expressing my emotions in person or putting my appreciation into words, but I want to say just how influential Brett Block has been to me. Aside from my parents, Brett shaped me more than anyone. I tell stories about him ALL the time to my employees and peers at work and use so many of the memories we had together for stories to make points about business, ethics, and relationships. Many of my "Big" choices in life were made with Brett's experiences or coaching.
When I chose my major in college, he showed me that a degree isn't necessary to succeed when you are built for business. I chose a harder major, but one that interested me more, because of his influence.
I could go on and on about the many life experiences I got from Brett. Most of what he taught me I took to heart and built my life on those foundations. I am so grateful he was watching out for me all those years and steering me on the right path. He always went way overboard taking care of me, and I benefited from it (did he let a 20-year-old drive a $40K car for six months?!). Words can't express my appreciation, but I hope he knows the positive impact he had on me, and much of my success is because of him. I love Brett and his family and am very grateful for everything.
